FEES &
INSURANCE

  • Do you accept insurance?

    Yes, I am in network with Cigna and Wellfleet insurances. Keep in mind that most other insurance panels will reimburse you for out of network benefits and I can help you with this.

  • What if you don't take my insurance?

    If I am not in netwrok with your insurance plan,  we can look at using your "out of network" benefits. Typically, there is a deductible and then after it is met, insurance may start paying a good portion of the fee. I can help you with this process.

  • What are your fees?

    My fees range from $225-$300 per session. I do reserve some sliding scale slots which depend on your financial situation and my availability. Again, keep in mind that most insurance panels will reimburse you for out of network benefits. 

  • Do you offer sliding scale fees?

    Yes, we can talk more about this important aspect of therapy. I hold a few slots open for sliding scale fees as I recognize  that therapy is a financial investment in your wellbeing. I'm open to discussing this more with you. 

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

    Fess can be submitted using Chase Quick Pay or Zelle.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so within 24 hours of your appointment to avoid paying the full session fee. No-show appointments will also result in a full session fee. If we are able to reschedule a late cancel in the same week, the late cancel fee may be waived.

  • Where do I begin?

    Whether you're thinking about meeting with me for the first time or are already a client, I can be reached by phone and email. I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation so we can talk about your needs and you can ask questions. If you're unsure about your next step, please contact me and we can talk about what might be best for you. 

  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?

    There are many reasons for seeking therapy and the most common thread is that there is something unsettling in your life. Therapy with me will enable you to talk things out in a safe, trusted and non-judgmental place so you can face your challenges and begin the change process. Or perhaps you're unsure if you are even ready for therapy and that is equally important so let's talk about any ambivalence you may have towards therapy and change. Know that I will start wherever you are.

  • What can I expect in our work together?

    During our time together, I will be helping you to explore areas in your life in order to allow for new and different thoughts, ideas and experiences.This is the infancy stage of change. Our journey together will be a secure place for you to share, feel, reveal and discuss. Confidentiality is always one of my highest priorities to ensure a trusting relationship. ​Individual sessions are 45 minutes and family sessions are 50 minutes.

  • What can I expect from the first session?

    At our first session, we will talk about your reasons for coming to therapy and what areas in your life you would like to see changed and improved. Goals can be defined and prioritized here, too.

  • How can we work together?

     All sessions are conducted virtually/via telehealth using a confidential and HIPAA compliant platform.

  • Will our conversations remain confidential?

    Everything that we discuss is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed even after treatment ends unless you sign an informed consent form. However, I am obligated to break confidentiality if there is suspected abuse or neglect of another person and/or if there is a reason to suspect that you are in imminent danger of harming yourself or another person.

  • What about medication?

    There may be times when medication can provide added benefits in conjunction with our talk therapy. We can explore this alternative together to decide if it may be right for you. If so, you can talk with your medical provider or I can refer you to a psychiatrist/prescriber who will perform a full assessment then make recommendations for you. Always remember that it's your choice whether you want to take medication or not.
